La seconda serie ha inizio col re di Fairyland che chiama suo cugino, il re di Marineland per chiedergli di mandare sua figlia sulla terra facendole continuare il lavoro interrotto da Gigì 10 anni prima. Anche stavolta la nuova Gigì è accompagnata da tre assistenti, di aspetto leggermente diverso dai precedenti, e viene adottata da una famiglia (che stavolta gestisce un hotel). Come nella precedente serie, Gigì ha il potere di trasformarsi e lo sfrutta per portare a termine la sua missione. Durante la serie la nuova Gigì incontrerà la vecchia Gigì (diventata umana e priva di poteri) e le loro vite si intrecceranno in maniera decisiva, tanto che nell'episodio finale anche la nuova Gigì deciderà di rimanere sulla terra e non tornare nel suo regno, rinunciando ai suoi poteri magici.
