Burst Angel (爆裂天使 <バクレツテンシ> Bakuretsu Tenshi? Burst Angel) è una serie anime prodotta dallo studio di animazione GONZO. Il nome giapponese Bakuretsu Tenshi è tradotto generalmente come "Angelo Esplosivo" o "Angelo del Genocidio", e spesso viene abbreviato a Bakuten. È conosciuta anche come Burst Angel o Crazy Burst Angel.
Dopo la serie sono stati prodotti anche 3 OAV, chiamati Tenshi Sairin, o con il titolo inglese di "Burst Angel Infinity". Il primo OAV è un prequel e narra le avventure di Meg e Jo prima della loro unione con il gruppo di Sei e Amy. In Italia la serie TV è stata pubblicata in DVD dalla Panini Video.

Kyohei Tachibana è uno studente di una scuola di arte culinaria, e sogna di poter diventare un giorno un pasticcere. Il suo proposito principale, per raggiungere un simile obiettivo, è quello di intraprendere un viaggio attraverso la Francia in maniera da poter studiare nella culla della pasticceria. Ma c'è un piccolo problema: non ha abbastanza soldi per affrontare una simile impresa. Invece che arrendersi, decide di cercare un lavoro part-time per mantenersi, e trova lavoro in qualità di cuoco presso un gruppo di quattro ragazze: Jo, Meg, Amy e Sei.
Le ragazze, di un'età compresa fra gli 11 ed i 19 anni, non sono altro che mercenarie, e vivono a bordo di un enorme pullman servito delle migliori tecnologie. Nonostante ogni tanto capiti che vengano ferite in combattimento, tutte loro indossano sempre abiti il più aderenti ed il meno coprenti possibile, il che sembra riesca ad accrescere la loro agilità durante le battaglie. Jo è la guerriera psicotica, un prodigio con la sua pistola (così come alla guida del loro cybot mecha, Jango), Meg è la damigella in angustia, Amy è una maga dei computer e Sei è il loro capo, e si occupa di organizzare il loro lavoro. Leo, un membro indipendente del gruppo, lavora come meccanico e si occupa della manutenzione di Jango.
