Children of the Gods, l'emozionante episodio pilota della celebre serie Stargate SG-1, completamente revisionato dal co-creatore della serie Brad Wright, rimontato con alcune scene inedite.
Sono stati aggiunti e migliorati gli effetti speciali e mentre l'episodio televisivo era stato trasmesso in 4:3, il film è in formato panoramico 16:9, con l'audio in Dolby Digital 5.1.
Il produttore Brad Wright, già co-creatore della serie televisiva, ha dichiarato: «non una semplice nuova versione, ma un nuovo film remake del vecchio pilot»

Jack O'Neil (Richard Dean Anderson) è a capo di una preparatissima squadra in missione sul pianeta Abydos per sconfiggere spietati guerrieri capeggiati dal crudele Ra. Per la squadra sarà questione di vita o di morte portare a termine la missione con successo, per sconfiggere la minaccia dell'invasione degli alieni Goa'ulds che incombe tutta la galassia.
Stargate SG-1: Children of the Gods - Final Cut is a special-release DVD, re-releasing the Stargate SG-1 television pilot, "Children of the Gods". The film was edited; given sharper and clearer imaging, re-scoring the music, and new and trimmed scenes, including the removal of the controversial scene showing full-frontal nudity.
The plot is the same as with the original Children of the Gods. The scenes have been replaced with new ones, and new special effects have been added. In effect, the episode has been essentially transformed and re-released as an SG-1 direct-to-DVD movie, complete with a brand-new opening title card.
In addition you will find the sound track with the comment of the co-creator Brad Wright and Richard Dean Anderson (Eng Mp3 + Sub Ita).
