Sins of a Solar Empire è un esplora, espandi, sfrutta e stermina. Un genere nato decenni orsono con Andromeda Quest ma che ha avuto un nome solo nel 1993, dal redattore Alan Emrich, in occasione di una preview di Master of Orion.

La peculiare formula che ha appassionato milioni di imperatori galattici in erba si è infine fusa con Homeworld, regalandoci uno strategico in tempo reale che un paio di anni or sono è stato in grado di conquistare diversi premi e sorprendere parecchi utenti. Un titolo sicuramente unico che ha conquistato spessore e bilanciamento grazie alle due espansioni inserite nel pacchetto qui recensito, Sins of the Solar Empire Trinity, ma che non è comunque esente da difetti. Il primo, e più rilevante, è la totale mancanza di una storia. Una scelta spiazzante, perchè una fantascienza ricca di cieli stellati, pianeti incandescenti, mitologia e atmosfere uniche non può che richiamare alla mente epopee spaziali ed avventure da sogno. Capita, dunque, che giocandoci si avverta profondamente la mancanza di uno story mode, di una trama che ci conduca la dove nessun colonizzatore è mai giunto prima.

Installing Sins of a Solar Empire:
- Burn the ISO or mount it with Daemon tools and install as usual.
- Copy the content from the SKIDROW folder on the DVD to your installation directory and overwrite
- Play
