TRAMA (Italian)
Due giovani turisti spagnoli, Helena e Martin, hanno scelto la pittoresca Irlanda come meta
delle loro vacanze. Mai scelta più infelice di questa! Durante una gita in macchina, Martin investe
un uomo. Il poveretto sembra morto, ma, più tardi, si rianima e morde Martin che muore di lì a
poco. Anche Martin, però, resuscita e minaccia Helena che riesce avventurosamente a darsi alla
fuga. Nascostasi in una fattoria, la ragazza incontra il becchino Desmond che come lei combatte
per sopravvivere contro un\'orda scatenata di morti viventi che sta conquistando la regione.
All\'origine di tutto questo c\'è il morbo della mucca pazza... Gli scienziati non ne sono ancora
certi, ma sembra che la tristemente nota \"encefalopatia spongiforme bovina\", oltre a provocare
stragi di bestiame, trasformi gli uomini che mangiano carne infetta in sanguinari e contagiosi
cadaveri deambulanti. Rivisitazione degli zombie-movies stravagante ma non disprezzabile,
nonostante la discutibile scelta del tema di fondo. Il regista e sceneggiatore Conor McMahon
gioca soprattutto sul registro della commedia nera e della parodia ma sa bene gestire le
situazioni orrorifiche mostrando di essere stato attento spettatore dei film di Romero.

PLOT (English)
The tourist Helena (Marián Araújo) and her mate Martin (David Ryan) are traveling by car through the County of Leitrim, Ireland, when Martin hits a man. He brings the body to his car, and the corpse returns to live and bites him. Helena looks for help in a cottage and is attacked inclusive by Martin. Sooner she realizes that the place is infested of zombies. She meets the gravedigger Desmond (David Muyllaert) and they cross the countryside trying to find a safe place. They meet another couple and they become aware that the mad cow disease has infected humans transforming them in living dead. (Source: IMDB)
