30 Rock è una serie televisiva statunitense scritta e interpretata da Tina Fey. La serie va in onda sulla rete NBC e racconta il dietro le quinte del programma comico di fantasia TGS with Tracy Jordan. Il nome 30 Rock si riferisce al luogo in cui si trova il GE Building sede degli Studios della NBC, al 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York.
Liz Lemon dirige il team di scenaggiatori della trasmissione di sketch comici della NBC The Girlie Show. All\'inizio di una nuova stagione, scopre con angoscia che la corporation che include la NBC, capeggiata dalla General Electric, ha messo alla guida del network Jack Donaghy, un dirigente di successo che però non sa nulla di televisione. La prima cosa che fa costui è imporre l\'acquisto di un nuovo attore, Tracy Jordan una star dallo stile completamente inadatto a TGS e dagli evidenti problemi di equilibrio mentale. A Liz toccherà gestire lui, la risentita prima donna Jenna, e le continue ingerenze di Jack nel suo lavoro.
