L\'eclettico dj francese è arrivato alla ribalta grazie ad un vero colpo di fortuna, sostituì un dj per una sera in un club e restò davanti a quei giradischi per tre anni. Notato da Jean-Louis Costes (manager e padrone dell\'omonimo hotel), che ha avuto la bizzarra idea di mettere un dj ai \"piatti\" del suo ristorante, Pompugnac ha saputo fondere atmosfere sognanti, ritmi lounge, latin jazz e downtempo in una miscela accattivante. Elettronica mescolata all\'acustica alla maniera stilish di José Padilla di Café del Mar, con la differenza che anziché da abbronzati villeggianti in costume, l\'Hotel Costes è frequentato da attori in smocking e top models in lungo.
Ecco la seconda aggiungendo La Suite compilation Stéphane Pompougnac continua, con l\'eleganza che da sempre lo caratterizza, il suo percorso nella musica a esplorare i temi dei viaggi e dell\'amore.

Un disco da non perdere per gli amanti della \"New French Sophistication\" di alto livello.
Parte il progetto dei Hotel Costes ,vi ricordo che il vol.1,vol2 vol.3,vol.4 vol.5 e il The best of. sono stati gia rellato da me.
Arriviamo fino al vol.9 ,perche il vol.10 e\' fuori statuto.

Stéphane Pompougnac\'s Hôtel Costes series gets a boost on its sixth installment, mixing in a bit more grit with the pretty ambience and silky beats. Actually, \"grit\" isn’t quite accurate; Pompougnac’s musical choices still lean heavily toward the cool, classy lounge of Jean-Louis Costes’ famous Parisian hotel/club. But bits of urban groove and subdued jungle rhythms are present as well. Tosca’s druggy \"Rolf Royce\" (from Delhi9) mines a simple, slap-bass line like a Happy Mondays outtake, while Minus 8 makes a jazzy, beautiful mess out of \"Snowblind.\" Unlike past efforts, Costes 6 gets better as it goes, wrapping with the d&b-meets-French-chanteuse clatter of \"Un Monde Sans Frime.\" Like slightly uncouth, yet good-natured guests, these new Hôtel residents might not be as fashionable, but they’re still the best things about the joint
