Ai fratelli Perez, che spadroneggiano su un intero paese, si oppone Johnny Oro, famoso pistolero che intende intascare la taglia posta sulle loro teste.
Non l'ho trovato così brutto come si dice; probabilmente il film sconta pesantemente il paragone col classicissimo Django, girato dallo stesso Corbucci poco più tardi. Resta comunque un lavoro più che discreto, scorrevole e godibile, anche grazie a una punta d'ironia mai invasiva. Ci sono ingenuità (gli "indiani", i messaggi dei messicani scritti in italiano, la canzone del titolo), riscattate però dalla buona atmosfera e dalle belle location. Pregevole la fotografia, dai toni caldi e saturi, che esalta anche le scene in interni.(Herrkinsky)
