Il film racconta di un piccolo pollo che provoca un diffuso panico quando scambia una ghianda per un pezzo di cielo. Questa divertente avventura vede Chicken Little impegnato a ristabilire la sua reputazione. Ma proprio quando le cose si stanno aggiustando, un pezzo di cielo gli cade realmente sulla testa. A questo punto, una bella dose di suspense, caos e risate accompagnano Chicken Little e la sua banda di amici svitati, Abby Mallard (alias il Ugly Duckling -Brutto Anatroccolo-), Runt of the Litter e Fish Out of Water (Pesce Fuor d'Acqua), mentre cercano di salvare il mondo senza generare il panico nell'intera città.
