Mean Machine (2001) [HDTVMux720p Ita-Eng][A.C.U.M.]

Trama :

Danny Meehan, campione decaduto (ex-capitano della nazionale inglese), reo di aver venduto una partita della nazionale per pagare i debiti di gioco, ? ora un alcolizzato e rinchiuso in galera. Viene mandato in un carcere modello caratterizzato nella realt? da un Direttore dedito a scommesse che spesso perde e Presidente di una squadra di calcio dilettantistica ove militano le guardie della prigione. La destinazione di Danny non ? casuale, Il Direttore vorrebbe che divenisse il coach della sua squadra ma riesce ad ottenere da Denny solo un secco diniego. Il tecnico in carica infatti, che non ? disponibile a cedergli il passo, ? il capo delle guardie, e lo ha avvertito subito sulle negative conseguenze che deriverebbero dall'accettazione dell'incarico da parte di Danny. L'ostilit? nei suoi confronti ? comunque diffusa anche tra gli altri ?ospiti?: l'unico con il quale riesce ad avere qualche tipo di rapporto ? un vecchio ergastolano, ?Doc?. Danny riesce a mettere tutti d'accordo: per migliorare le prestazioni della squadra dei secondini, propone di allenarne una ?cuscinetto? di detenuti. Prevarr? infine la lealt? e il riconoscimento della prestazione sportiva da parte degli sconfitti.
