Fine del 19esimo secolo. In un tranquillo villaggio adagiato ai piedi delle Alpi fa il suo arrivo uno straniero di nome Greider. Per sfuggire al freddo inverno, l'uomo chiede alla gente del luogo un posto dove pernottare. E dal momento che può offrire solo alcune monete d'oro, lo indirizzano dalla vedova Gader e dalla figlia Luzi, che è in procinto di sposarsi. Dopo una lunga nevicata notturna, uno dei figli del capo del villaggio viene trovato morto. Sorgono dei dubbi sul fatto che si tratti di un incidente ad essere sospettato è subito Greider. Tuttavia, si comincia a credere anche che dietro l'incidente possa esserci un vecchio e oscuro segreto. (MyMovies)
