Trama
Assistita da due sorelle e una governante, Agnese muore di cancro in una villa alla periferia di Stoccolma.
Sinfonia in rosso maggiore di un Bergman in gran forma espressiva, all'altezza del modello cui s'ispira: il teatro intimo di August Strindberg.
Memorabile riflessione sul dolore, la pietà, l'ambigua capacità di soffrire delle donne, il loro corpo.
