Cosa succede a due americani giovani e belli che si recano in vacanza nella meravigliosa isola di Mykonos in Grecia?
Accade di divertirsi, come è ovvio che sia, di fare meravigliosi bagni, di sguazzare tra le onde e infine di incontrare una bella e affascinante archeologa, Lina, anche lei giovane, off course.
Accade anche che Michael e Cathy, i due giovani, trovino il tempo, che ovviamente non manca, per instaurare il classico triangolo lui-lei-lei , con piena soddisfazione di tutti, sopratutto, com’è ovvio di lui.
Il tutto condito da splendide immagini della greca Mykonos, popolata di giovani nudisti goderecci e disinibiti, da musiche che spaziano dal tema omonimo di Micahel Sembello, Summer lovers (lui è quello di Flashdance), passando per Johnny and Mary di Tina Turner, Take me down the ocean di Elton John, Hard to say i’ sorry dei Chicago, Paly to win degli Heaven 17.
A parte la gran mole di nudità, peraltro poco morbose, esposte come sono in un ambiente assolutamente incontaminato come quello di Mykonos, il film sembra una rivisitazione in chiave leggera delle commedie adolescenziali americane, mutuate in parte da film come Paradise e Laguna blu, sfrondate anche di quel poco di drammaticità che quei film avevano.
Michael and Cathy, a young couple who have just graduated from college, have known each other about 10 years and have been together about half that time. They vacation for the summer on a Greek island. When they visit a nude beach crowded with other young tourists, they are hesitant at first but find themselves getting caught up in the uninhibited energy that surrounds them.
