Trama Il cervello di Spock viene sottratto da una donna materializzatasi sul ponte dell\'Enterprise; seguendo le sue tracce, l\'equipaggio si mette alla sua ricerca su un pianeta ghiacciato abitato da una specie primitiva, dove Kirk e McCoy scoprono una base sotterranea abitata da una popolazione di sole donne.
Plot On stardate 4040.7, the starship USS Enterprise is on routine patrol when it encounters the wreckage of the SS Beagle, a survey vessel lost six years earlier. The Beagle was under the command of Captain R. M. Merrick, whom Kirk knew during his academy days. First Officer Spock traces the path of debris back to the ship\'s point of origin, near the fourth planet in the previously unexplored FGC 892 System.
The Enterprise soon picks up an old-style television broadcast, with black and white video footage of what appears to be a Roman gladiatorial fight in an arena. One of the killed gladiators is named as William B. Harrison, who is identified by records as one of the Beagle\'s flight crew.

Trama Sotto grave stress, Kirk comanda di dirigere verso lo spazio romulano, dove l\'Enterprise viene circondata. Il comandante romulano convoca Kirk e Spock sulla sua nave per metterli sotto processo, e incarcera Kirk; apparentemente morto, questi viene rimandato sull\'Enterprise, dove il dottore lo maschera da romulano, in modo da potersi introdurre nella nave nemica e rubare il loro dispositivo di occultamento.
Plot On stardate 5431.4, the USS Enterprise encounters a curious ship of unusual design. Upon contact, the ship emits a transport beam and a mysterious woman appears to the Enterprise bridge. She stuns the entire crew using a bracelet-like device, then examines each of them, taking particular interest in Mr. Spock. She then somehow removes his brain and disappears. When the crew awakens, Dr. McCoy finds Spock lying on a bed in sickbay and discovers what has happened to him. Thankfully, owing to the unusual physiology of Vulcans, Spock\'s body can survive in this \"brainless\" state mechanically, giving Captain Kirk about 24 hours to find his stolen brain.

Plot On stardate 4842.6, the starship USS Enterprise arrives at an earthlike planet while en route to deflect an asteroid that is heading to the world on a collision course. With little time to spare before intercepting the asteroid, Captain Kirk beams to the surface along with his first officer Mr. Spock and chief medical officer Dr. McCoy, for a half-hour investigation. There they find the land breathtaking with snow-capped mountains, thick pine forests and a sparkling blue lake. The team then comes across an ancient obelisk of unknown origin. The structure is made of a mysterious metal that resists sensor scans and is covered with strange writing. They also discover a group of primitive humanoids living nearby whose customs and appearances closely resemble North American Indians; more specifically as Spock describes, is a mixture of Mohican, Navaho, and Delaware tribes.

Trama L\'Enterprise scopre che gli unici superstiti di una colonia terrestre sono cinque bambini, che tuttavia non sembrano minimamente scossi dalla morte dei loro genitori, apparentemente suicidatisi. Mentre la nave li trasporta verso una colonia spaziale, i bambini, guidati da una misteriosa entità, tentano di prenderne il controllo.
Plot On stardate 5029.5, the starship USS Enterprise intercepts a distress call from the planet Triacus, where a scientific expedition is located. Arriving at the planet, Captain Kirk, Dr. McCoy, and Mr. Spock beam down to investigate. They find the expedition leader, Professor Starnes, has gone insane; he almost immediately dies. The other adult members of the team have apparently committed suicide. However, the expedition\'s five children (led by Starnes\'s preteen son Tommy) remain alive and well, continuing to play as if nothing has happened.
