Le bambole americane sembrano aver iniziato nel modo sbagliato il capitolo secondo album, intitolato “doll domination” . Che abbiano stancato anche loro, con la formula coreografie mozzafiato e corpi da urlo? Eppure loro negli USA sono sempre state molto amate, e con il loro primo album avevano veramente venduto tantissimo. Se poi contiamo che fanno sempre un ottima figura nelle esibizioni live, e che il loro primo singolo “When I grow up” è andato piuttosto bene, bè non riesco a spiegarmi questo flop! (solo 80mila copie vendute la prima settimana) .
Ecco il nuovo video delle Pussycat Dolls “Watcha Think About That” cantata in collaborazione con l’esuberante Missy Elliot.
Devo ammettere che questa canzone al primo ascolto non mi aveva convinto per niente, ma ora, forse grazie alla complicità del video, incomincia a piacermi. Le cose che più si fanno apprezzare sono un ritornello che di sicuro non passa inosservato e i vocalizzi fatti da Melody verso il finale il che dimostrano che Nicole non è l’unica che sa cantare tra le ragazze che compongo il gruppo.
Il video come al solito è glamour: le “gattine” sono bellissime, sensuali, ammiccanti, provocanti, affascinanti e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Ovviamente non potevano mancare i loro balletti comprensivi di “cosce” che volano a destra e a manca. La povera Missy Elliot avrebbe fatto meglio a non apparire in questo video perchè a livello estetico sfigura davvero tanto accanto alle Pussycat Dolls.
