Marco ha ventidue anni. Vive con la madre, un'infermiera che fa i doppi turni per mantenere se stessa e quell'unico figlio che la riempie solo di preoccupazioni. Marco ha cambiato sette scuole, di lavoro non se ne parla, la sua vita di tutti i giorni si divide tra il bar sotto casa con i tre amici di sempre, tra sport, moto e scorribande notturne nei locali, alla ricerca di qualche novità da esaltare il giorno dopo al solito bar e l'incontro d'amore con una giovane colf somala, Zaira. Un ragazzo come tanti nella periferia soffocata dal cemento del quartiere tuscolano. Finché una mattina ha l'incontro che gli cambia la vita. Una "testa rasata", un leader autoritario e massiccio, Saverio (detto il Fuhrer) che agisce senza esitare davanti ad una situazione dove nessun altro ha preso l'iniziativa, Marco lo osserva rapito senza capire le reali intenzioni dell'altro. Per lui quell'incontro è la scintilla che a poco a poco divampa per svilupparsi in un fuoco sacro. Marco lo segue, lo spia e scopre che Saverio (il Fuhrer) è a capo di un covo di naziskin che praticano arti marziali e spedizioni punitive contro gli extra comunitari e i commercianti di fede ebraica. Per marco diventa essenziale farsi accettare da quel gruppo così seducente nella loro integrità fisica e di concetto. Pur di arrivare alla loro stima accetta di vivere in piena schizofrenia dilaniata dalla più grande delle contraddizioni. Il rapporto con Zaira, che va avanti crescendo di intensità è tenuto gelosamente nascosto ai "nazi" con i quali Marco partecipa alle scorribande punitive di notte. Ecco che il suo senso della realtà vacilla, si incrinano i rapporti. Dapprima con gli amici del bar, poi con la madre, con il commerciante ebreo, l'unico pronto e disposto a farlo ragionare dall'inizio della sua fascinazione. Infine con Zaira la sola vera base solida e sincera della sua giovane vita. Finché l'odio e il senso di colpa, il rancore di una esistenza priva di margini e di futuro non degenerano nel delirio più bieco, nell'aberrazione, nella tragedia antica e prevedibile anche se volutamente casuale. L'orrore del quotidiano è solo una metafora per far gridare ai più giovani la loro impotenza di fronte ad un "esistere" indifeso e fragile. Un grido che riporta in sé l'eco di angoscia e disperazione delle ultime generazioni.
Marco is twenty-two years old. She lives with her mother, a nurse who takes double shifts to keep herself and that one child who fills her with only worries. For him that encounter is the spark that gradually blazes to develop into a sacred fire. Marco follows him, spies on him and discovers that Saverio (the Fuhrer) is the head of a den of naziskin who practice martial arts and punitive expeditions against non-EU and Jewish merchants. For Marco it becomes essential to be accepted by that group so seductive in their physical and conceptual integrity. In order to reach their esteem, he agrees to live in full schizophrenia torn apart by the greatest of the contradictions. The relationship with Zaira, which continues to grow in intensity, is jealously hidden from the "Nazis" with whom Marco takes part in the punitive raids at night. Here, his sense of reality falters, relationships are cracked. First with the friends of the bar, then with his mother, with the Jewish merchant, the only one ready and willing to make him think from the beginning of his fascination. Finally with Zaira the only true solid and sincere base of his young life. As long as hatred and guilt, the rancor of a life without margins and future do not degenerate into the most sinister delirium, the aberration, the ancient and predictable tragedy, even if deliberately casual. The horror of everyday life is only a metaphor to make young people cry out their impotence in the face of a defenseless and fragile "existence". A cry that brings back the echo of anguish and despair of the last generations.
