Alla fine della seconda stagione tutto sembrava ormai perso. Nonostante lo sforzo profuso, la Contessa von Marburg è riuscita a completare il Sommo Rito, sacrificare la vita del piccolo John Alden Jr. e riportare il Diavolo in persona in terra.

La resa dei conti tra le forze del male e quelle del bene è ormai inevitabile.
Mary dovrà accettare il suo crudele destino e prepararsi a combattere non solo il Diavolo, ma anche e soprattutto il sui primogenito. L'oscuro signore potrà contare sul fedele aiuto della sua Sentinella e di Sebastian.
Il reverendo Cotton Mather dovrà fare i conti con la vera identità di sua moglie Anne Hale, ora una delle streghe della congrega di Salem e figlia della perfida Contessa. Mercy, intanto, è ancora decisa a vendicarsi e userà il magistrato Hathorne per ottenere il controllo della città.
John Alden cercherà di aiutare la sua dolce compagna combattendo i nemici che cercano di attaccare Salem dall'esterno e sarà costretto a tornare nuovamente in guerra.
A rendere ancora più speciale questa terza stagione dello show di WGN la guest star Marilyn Manson. Il "Reverendo" entrerà a far parte del cast nei panni del misterioso barbiere Thomas Dinley che, come tutti i suoi concittadini, custodisce più di un macabro mistero.'
